MBC Group has been appointed to deliver building compliance services for 47 sites as part of the NSW Government’s 100 Public Preschools Program (PPS) across the Sydney Metro and Western Sydney regions.

This program, part of the state’s $769 million initiative, aims to expand access to quality, fee-free early childhood education by co-locating preschools within existing public primary schools. These strategically selected sites are prioritised based on community need and are central to delivering equitable early learning opportunities across NSW. Of the 100 new public preschools, 13 will sit on new and redeveloped school sites, in line with the NSW Government’s commitment to provide co-located preschools in new and redeveloped schools. The school sites for the remaining 87 public preschools have been selected in areas where there is a need for public preschool places to support more children to be able to access a preschool program prior to starting school.

MBC Group's scope includes:

- PCA services to ensure compliance throughout the construction lifecycle
- BCA consultancy to guide design and documentation in line with current NCC provisions
- Access consultancy to ensure inclusive design and equitable access, aligning with DDA and AS1428 requirements.

This project is a critical component of the NSW Government’s broader goal to provide Universal Pre-Kindergarten by 2030, supporting over 9,000 additional preschool places and addressing childcare accessibility in high-growth areas.
