55 Market Street
MBC Group were engaged as the Principal Certifier for the 55 Market Street development. The project comprised a full BCA compliance upgrade including the refurbishment of all office levels, the construction of a new retail podium, new end of trip facilities and ancillary carparking and services.
Our team worked closely with TSA Management and the project stakeholders in each phase of the project to ensure the project achieved compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and Regulations. This was effectively managed through early engagement, clear and concise communication, and management of the development consent issued by the City of Sydney Council.
The project included intricate performance-based solutions developed by Holmes Fire Engineers in consultation with MBC Group, to ensure the performance requirements of the NCC in relation to fire resistance, access & egress, services & equipment and health and amenity within the building were achieved along with acceptance by Fire & Rescue NSW. In addition, a number of access performance-based solutions were developed by MGAC Access Consultants in consultation with us to ensure the building provided access for persons with a disability meeting the performance requirement of the NCC.
MBC Group worked closely with all project stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the project was seamless, on time and met the client's deliverables and acceptance criteria whilst achieving NCC/BCA compliance.
