Arthur Phillip High School is the first high-rise high school in NSW with capacity to accommodate 2000 students. The project, which is located in the heart of Parramatta and includes neighbouring Parramatta Primary School, aims to meet the educational needs of this fast-growing region of NSW.

The new school supports future-focused learning, with modern indoor spaces that can be reconfigured in different ways, technology-rich settings, and beautifully landscaped outdoor areas. It allows students to connect with nearby facilities including Western Sydney University, and provide a healthy and sustainable learning environment.

Grimshaw Architects secured the design contract via an international design competition, and developed the final designs in collaboration with the local community. MBC worked closely with the team and School Infrastructure NSW, to make sure both schools are compliant with the Building Code of Australia and achieve all necessary building certifications.

Our Accredited Building Certifiers used performance-based solutions in many cases, to ensure the project can deliver the best possible learning experience for students. The construction of Arthur Philip High School is currently in progress, with core components underway including the installation of concrete floor slabs and steel structures.
