The Snowy Mountains have some of the best trout waters in Australia. Set on the banks of the Thredbo River, the 4-hectare Gaden Trout Hatchery is a short drive from the centre of Jindabyne. The hatchery produces quality salmonid fry, fingerlings and adult fish to stock NSW waterways for recreational fishing, with over 1 million fish grown in the facility annually.

The works will see the construction of a new educational facility and office, with staff meal room, public amenities and car park, plus a retail/vending area. Infrastructure upgrades will also integrate the Thredbo Valley Track into the hatchery picnic area and provide a viewing platform with upgraded hatchery facility.

MBC Group were appointed for the Crown Works approval covering design development, tender documentation, construction drawings, advice during construction and completion certification.
