Prince of Wales Private Hospital offers comprehensive care and services in a modern and well-equipped facility with a plan to upgrade the Maternity Ward. The design finalisation and implementation were carried out over 3 phases by Fugen Constructions with the project management under Johnstaff. The scope of works included a full renovation of 32 post-natal ward bedrooms (including ensuites), nursery, corridors, staff areas, shared facilities and refurbishment of the Level 6 foyer and delivery suite corridor.

MBC Group were appointed as BCA consultants providing a review of design documentation, issuance of Exempt Certificate / BCA Compliance Statement and BCA Completion Certificates. Works inspections were also carried out during the project. The major multi-stage refurbishment was completed within an operating hospital building. With the works intricately connected with the working hospital environment, patient safety and infection control issues were a key consideration.
